Bishop Don Magic Juan lays down the game on how to treat your lady on V-Day.
According to conventional wisdom, pimpin’ and St. Valentine’s Day go together like gangsta rap and Renée Zellweger flicks. But conventional wisdom ain’t what made Bishop Don Magic Juan the world’s most famous pimp. From Green is for the Money, Gold is for the Honey’s Vol. 1, his upcoming compilation of soul classics and mack-isms on Avatar Records, to his recently released clothing line, the Bishop continues to teach those still young in the game about the heights a pimp can reach.
And while Don Juan stands by his claim that he has retired his pimp hand in order to serve the Good Lord (a portion of the
CD sales goes to Children of the Night,
an organization that helps young women who have been forced into prostitution), there is no mistaking that he still knows
a thing or two about “good game.” And with Valentine’s Day looming, the Mack
of
All Macks
is here to teach you how
to keep it pimpin’ when February 14 rolls around. Chuuuch!
Chocolates & Flowers: Tasty Treat or Sucka Move?
“One thing about chocolate is that it is always good. It’s a traditional thing to bring a box of Valentine’s Day candy, but if you wanna do something overlay for the underlay, go get some roses. I prefer yellow. You can do red, but yellow is much more of a blessing to me. I just think yellow is so blossomous—it just brings joy and sunshine. Sometimes when you think of red, you think of blood and all the hurtful things. Besides, it’s so traditional for me to bring red. I like to mix it up a little bit to give her a little amusement.”
