Resume: “I did a lot of modeling conventions, and one of them had a theatrical competition. I did it, got a lot of offers, and decided to pursue acting. In 1994, I did a pilot for CBS with Salt ‘n’ Pepa called On Our Way. It didn’t get picked up, but it gave me a lot of confidence. Then I got a part on a show called Dave’s World, where I played Meshach Taylor’s daughter for two seasons. Next, I played L-Train’s girlfriend on City Guys. The studio audience for that show was always so hype.
Baby Boy was a blessing. A lot of people auditioned for that role, but I got it. There was a lot of talent in that movie. And I recently did a project called What About Your Friends? with Keisha Knight-Pulliam [of The Cosby Show] for UPN. It’s very motivational and geared towards African-American youth. UPN is very
interested in it as a series.”
Future Goal: “In addition to acting, I’m starting to sing. I want to do every aspect of R&B. I’m getting into everything and just trying to stay busy. I’m a dancer too. I’ve always been
an entertainer. And I model as well.”
Fantasy Date: “Omar Gooding, my boyfriend. We knew each other before Baby Boy, but that’s when we got close. It’s been like two years now. We really care about each other and have a good time being together. Aside from my boyfriend, I used to love me some Kris Kross. I don’t know why, but I just loved them. I would have to have a double date with both of them. I like talking as well as listening, so I would want to go out to a romantic restaurant and chat.”
Favorite Flavor: “I like humorous men. You have to make me laugh. You have got to be able to hold a conversation, and I don’t want anybody who’s intimidated by anything. I love me some lips. You need to have good lips!”
