BLAC CHYNA
Meet Blac Chyna, the exotic former stripper-urban model who swept Tyga off his feet
Give us a brief overview of your career so far.
I’m originally from D.C., but I moved to Miami for about four years, where I was a dancer at King of Diamonds. My measurements are 32D-26-41. As for modeling, I’m probably best known for doing some other magazine covers and for my role as the lead lady in Tyga’s “Rack City” video.
So what’s the reasoning behind your nickname?
I got the name when I first started dancing in D.C. I used to go by the name Cream. One day, I was dancing for this guy, and he was so fine. He had dark, smooth skin with dreads and Chinese eyes. While I was dancing for him, I asked his name. He says, “They call me Blac Chyna.” I was like, “Oh, I like that. Can I have that name?” He laughed and was like, “Yeah, go ahead.” The next day, I started calling myself Blac Chyna, and ever since then it has just stuck with me.
Do you like being a dancer or is it just a job to you?
Recently, I haven’t been dancing and I kind of miss it. It’s fun because it’s like you’re the star. They come to see you put on a performance. That along with the dressing up and getting your makeup and hair done is all fun. So I guess you could say I enjoy it.
What inspired you to get into modeling?
I wouldn’t even call myself a model per se. I’m more like a hustler or opportunist. I just take advantage of the opportunities given to me. Being in the club, you’re going to meet people who can take you further than dancing could.
